SUPERB BURGER WITH CHILI, SALT CUCUMBER, AND CAPERS

Burgers have become a very standard and kind of boring food, at least in my opinion. There are simply not enough variations, and the meat part of the burger is often very poor in flavor. Here's a good attempt to enhance the burger recipes!

4 servings:
2 shallots, chopped
1 tbsp butter
500 g/over 1 lb of minced meat
2 tbsp mustard
1 red chili, deseeded and chopped
2 tbsp small capers
2 tbsp green olives, sliced
2 small salt cucumbers, chopped
(optional) 1 egg
salt, pepper to season
olive oil to fry the burgers
hamburger bread

For the sauce, in a bowl mix the following:
2 tbsp butter
5 tbsp cream
90 g/3 oz gorgonzola cheese
season with pepper

sauté the shallots in butter until they are soft, without browning them, on moderate heat. In a bowl mix the shallot with meat, mustard, chili, capers, olives, and cucumbers. Season with salt and pepper, shape the burgers, and fry them in olive oil until they are just cooked through and browned on each side (moderate heat should do the job).

In a 120 C/250 F oven, heat up the hamburger bread (to make them even more tasty you can rub them with some garlic). Remove from the oven, place the meat on one half of the bread, pour on the sauce, and get back in the oven until the sauce ingredients have melted. Cover with the other part of the bread and serve immediately.
